The University of Suffolk provides you with a more personal university experience, which differs from the norm; absorbing the best of the UK university traditions but one that is also appropriate for a twenty-first century audience and modern world of employment and entrepreneurship. The main hub in Ipswich is located on the beautiful Ipswich Waterfront, or you can choose to study at one of our four Centres, in Bury St Edmunds, Great Yarmouth, Lowestoft, or at Suffolk New College in Ipswich. The University offers an attractive portfolio of undergraduate and postgraduate courses across the seven Departments: Arts and Humanities; Children, Young People, and Education; Health Studies; Nursing Studies; Psychology, Sociology and Social Work; Science, Technology and Health; and Suffolk Business School.

Student Union

At Suffolk, the Students' Union is on hand with plenty of activities, whether you want to meet like-minded people, experience something new or, most importantly, just have fun. When you need a break from your studies and are looking to relax, there are a range of activities and facilities at the Ipswich campus and across the partner colleges for you to take advantage of. The University of Suffolk Students' Union offer many societies for you to choose from. Whether politics, gaming or dance is your thing, there will be a society for you. Plus, if there isn't one to suit your interests, they can help you get one started. The Students' Union is not just about socialising; it is here to offer support and representation to all students. As a University of Suffolk student you automatically become a member of Students' Union and this means that whatever your concern and wherever your location, the Students' Union is here to support you and give students a voice.
