Newham College University Centre (NUC) is the higher education faculty of Newham College of Further Education. We offer a programme of high quality higher education courses, studied in Newham College’s university centre. Studying at a university centre within a college provides you with a special educational experience. Instead of sharing lectures with 200 students or more you will never share a lecture with more than 60 other students and also be taught in small seminar groups. We value small group sizes with plenty of contact between students and lecturers and the high levels of support this provides.

NUC runs its degree programmes in collaboration with what are called partner universities. Newham College’s main university partner is The Open University (OU). Newham College London has institutional approval from the OU which means that Newham College London is approved by The Open University as an appropriate organisation to offer higher education programmes leading to Open University validated awards. All  degree courses go through a process of programme validation with the OU. This means that the programme, which has been developed and will be delivered by Newham College London, has been validated through a process of external peer review by The Open University as being of an appropriate standard and quality to lead to The Open University validated award.
