King Edward VI College Stourbridge

King Edward VI College Stourbridge is one of the leading academic sixth form colleges in the country.  We specialise in A level provision and enjoy a national reputation for outstanding teaching and learning as well as results.  The college is regularly ranked as one of the top colleges nationwide in terms of academic results, is a Beacon College, and has been formally recognised as 'Outstanding' by Ofsted.

Students enjoy access to a range of technology which enhances their learning experiences including dedicated student computer areas, wi-fi classrooms with laptops, state-of-the art online learning resources and an internet cafe.

The historic campus has been sympathetically developed over time, blending stained glass settings with wi-fi capability in an environment where traditional values meet leading edge teaching and learning techniques.

In recognition of the college’s outstanding success in enabling students to get into university, the Higher Education Funding Council agreed that King Edward’s can offer degree level studies. Our first course started in October 2014.

The college recognises that adults and young people have differing needs, aspirations and interests. Accordingly, the college has distinct arrangements for the management, teaching, guidance and support, for each age group. The college campus and facilities will be shared by the 16-18 learners until 4:00pm and then until 7:30pm, the 19+ students will have privileged access to the college library and IT services.

The Diploma in Higher Education (HE) programme taught at King Edward VI College is validated by Middlesex University (MU).

You will be able to top up your DipHE to a full BA Honours degree by transferring to Middlesex or another local university.
