Kidderminster College

Kidderminster College is a division of NCG, one of the largest education, training and employability organisations in the UK.

NCG’s purpose is: Unlocking Potential Through Learning. With a nationwide network of colleges and training centres, we work with more than 20,000 businesses and 133,000 learners every year, regionally and nationally, to help them reach their full potential and build a talented workforce through high quality training.

Our aim is very simple - to give you the best possible chance of success. We are a small, friendly college with excellent facilities and committed to staff giving you all the support you need to achieve your goals. We have invested heavily in specialist equipment and resources for our courses and enjoy some great new spaces for learning as well as Learner Services and additional opportunities.

At our last inspection, Ofsted inspectors said "On work-based courses, learners make good progress and the standard of work is good."

We have built great relationships with hundreds of local organisations over the last 20 years and are continually working with new organisations to give you plenty of opportunities, and much more choice! Also, if you have found an employer who has agreed to help you complete an Apprenticeship, we will be happy to work with them to support you.

You will be in paid employment - the salary varies dependent upon your employer and the industry within which you choose to work. However, weekly Apprenticeship salaries is typically between £85 - £170 per week for 16-18 year olds (and those over 19 years of age in the first year of their Apprenticeship).

Kidderminster College places great importance on its mature learners and we have developed a range of programmes geared to your particular requirements and needs.

You will also have the opportunity to obtain GCSE equivalence for English and Maths. A GCSE qualification in Science is available for those who wish to pursue careers in teaching or nursing. You will have a personal tutor who will support you through the learning process and help you to make your application to university.
