City College Brighton and Hove

Centrally located in the heart of Brighton's buzzing North Laine area, City College Brighton and Hove offers high-quality, university-level courses starting each September.

City College was awarded Bronze Investor in People (IIP) recognition in 2010. This recognises activities above the basic standard, looking into how the college has continued to develop in relation to Strategic Planning, Learning and Development and Core Value activities. Only 4% of employers in the South East have achieved this prestigious status.

All of our courses blend practical and academic learning designed to help you progress into work or further study. To prepare students for careers in their chosen fields our teaching and learning is professionally-focused, through work placements, access to real employers, entry into national competitions and student-led events and projects.

Our foundation degrees are two-year qualifications that combine academic and professional learning. They prepare students for employment via a variety of methods, including placements, industry-related teaching and assessment and personal and career planning. At the end of a foundation degree, students are well placed to find employment, or progress to a one-year top-up course leading to a full Bachelors degree with honours.

City College foundation degrees are validated by the University of Brighton and our students become members the University Students’ Union.

The College also offers Higher National Diploma courses.

Many of our courses are ideal for students looking to combine study with existing employment or family commitments.
