Basingstoke College of Technology

We offer a clear route to university through a programme of BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma courses which are equivalent to studying 3 A Levels and we are now introducing A Levels in English, Maths and Biology to run alongside the BTEC programmes.

Around 50% of our Level 3 students look to progress to degree courses at university, with past students gaining places at universities such as Brunel, Leeds and Liverpool St John Moores.

At BCoT, our lecturers are industry trained and bring knowledge, experience and enthusiasm for their subject to the classroom. They are experts in their chosen field and retain good links with their industry contacts giving rise to many opportunities for practical work experiences.

As much as we’re proud of our academic achievements, we believe that learning is about more than just what happens in the classroom and so we offer a range of enrichment activities throughout the year including charity events and trips abroad.

We are an inclusive College and have designed our curriculum so that anyone can join us at a level appropriate to their ability and then progress through the academic levels if they wish.
